Computer Failure...

So my computer is throwing a fit :( so i've been forced to work off the iPod. There might not be any pictures for a bit unfortunately! Sorry! We're doing our best to get it working again! So yesterday Kari and I had the opportunity to go spend the night at our wards girls camp. They needed another priesthood holder and I was scared to stay home alone. I was so jealous of these girls! They got to stay in a cabin right by the ocean! My girls camps were definitely not that cool! And these girls were awesome! Their theme was Harry Potter; strength and courage. They put on a skit that was just awesome! We sang songs and had scones with them. It was such a fun experience! Oh and their morning activity was learning how to surf! What a neat thing! I think I would have had a lot better attitudes about my girls camps if they were anything like these! It was really cool to be a part of it for a night.

Anniversary Lei

It was our one month anniversary yesterday :) So we spent the day together, laying out on the beach, reading, and he even made me yummy dinner. He bought me the cutest lei! He said that I needed to know the feeling of a real flower lei at least once in my life. It was pretty cool! It made me feel very special :)

Peeta comes out to say hey!

We were talking in our room the other night, and I looked outside the door and there was Peeta! We've  never seen him outside of the sink before! It was crazy! So here's some shots of him on the wall!

PEETA!!! Caught in the sink!

WE CAUGHT HIM!! YEAHHHHH!!! So we both couldn't sleep, so we decided to try once more tonight! And there he was! Our cute gecko bodyguard! He rocks, man! So sly and sneeky..no wonder he catches all those gross cockroaches!

He looks right at us! He knows we've caught him! Bwah ha ha!!

This is him running away after I scream! (ok, it still freaks me out! He's a creepy crawly little thing! In my sink! Ewwww!!)

He spies his hole and makes a mad dash for home! Until next time, Peeta! It was nice seeing you again :)

Peeta, our geiko, oh i mean gecko friend

So, my theory about there being a gecko living in our kitchen is correct! We've seen him a couple times now, and have been trying to get pictures! We went to a movie tonight, got home, and he was just chilling in the sink! So we hurried and got our cameras out, but we were too late! So we camped out in our room with all the lights out for a little while, went back out and tried to catch him in the act again, with no such luck. But! We did see him peeping out at us from around the corner! We now know where his hiding place is, and we took some pictures of that! And yes, I stole his name from Hunger Games! What can I say? :-)

So this is where his house is, right behind the sink, next to the oven.

If you look closely, you can see his little black eye poking out...

Annnnnnnd there he is folks! How cute is he?! Ok, so he pretty much blends in with his surroundings, so we'll try to keep a look out and get some better pictures up soon! He's become our new best friend because he eats all the nasty cockroaches! So we like him :-)

SUN!!!....burns....

Today was spent...sleeping in, french toast for breakfast, and going to the beach! It was so fun! The weather was perfect, water was crystal clear and warm, slightly breezy, and lots of cool crabs. Kari studied for the CPA exam and I read my book. We both lost track of time and came home royally sunburned. As the day progressed, eating dinner, making cookies and all, we both became more and more red. We're not sure when it's going to stop, but we hope soon! Kari has made me commit to wearing lots and lots of sunscreen from now on, and no more getting distracted for 4 hours by books on the beach, as nice as that may sound.

Last night, we went out to the end of the point, which we haven't done before. We watched the waves crash against the rock and saw cool little tide pools. Then we looked behind us! This was taken with my phone, so it doesn't do it justice at all. The sunset was gorgeous! It went all across the skyline. This is definitely something we will watch again and again. Other than that, we had a pretty relaxing day. We headed down to campus so Kari could do some things for his class on Wednesday. We were told to go to Hukilau Cafe. So we wandered around until we found it. It was very hot inside, and the food was less than pleasant. We were instantly sick, and we still had a hot walk home. Not so fun! But at least we can say we went there, right?! Ha...I'm not too sure it was worth it! We've decided we're not having the best luck eating out here, so home cooked meals are the way to go for us! The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home; Kari studied for his CPA test while I watched movies and took a nice long nap :-)

Sunset in Hawaii...can't get much better than that!

Waimea Beach was so much fun! See the rock behind Kari?! Yeah, we totally jumped off it! Ok, so it was the smaller side that his head is covering in this picture, but it was still crazy! Loved it!

Baby Kaylee at Sunset Beach! Her tent was so adorable! Look at those sunglasses! She's stylin'!!
This is how my toes look 99% of the time! The top of my feet are raw because the sand has rubbed them so much! Poor me, I know! ;-)

BEAUTIFUL Sunset Beach :-)

We got shrimp from one of the many places along the road. They still had their eyeballs on them! We had to pull their heads and shells off. It was quite the experience! But they were good! :-)
Kaylee staring at a piece of shrimp. She doesn't know quite what to think about it!
Bikini beach is walking distance from our house on a side of the point. It's beautiful down there and there are crabs all over the place!

We came down to this beach the night before we took these pictures, and all these reefs were covered in water and the waves were crashing against the shore. It's crazy how different the beach looks at different times of the day!
Getting ready to go to the beach!
I'm going to soak up some sun! Kari is going to work! haha

Angela was so fun :-) and she always had the cutest swimsuits!

Sunset Beach has got to be one of my favorite beaches! The snorkling was amazing! Crystal clear water, goreous sun, just enough wind to keep you cool, ahh it was so great! There was also a monk seal up on shore! Just chilling in the sun. Such a neat day!

Turtle Beach! How cool this experience was! We saw at least 30 sea turtles. They were riding the waves all along the beach. We went out snorkling and saw a lot of fish, and a turtle almost kissed me! It poked its head up just as I went under the water. It was so neat!
We went on a walk up Waimea Valley to the falls. The walk was beautiful! And there were wild chickens! They're everywhere here! It's crazy. We swam in the fresh rain water at the bottom of the falls. It was so gorgeous to look around and see beautiful mother nature at her finest. Definitely one of my favorite things we've done here so far.
