2/3 of the Way Through Our First Year of Parenting

Happy Independence Day!

We have this center console on our love seat that is raised up higher than the seats. Caden was so happy to be as tall as us!

Kari made me breakfast in bed. Mickey Mouse pancakes and all.

 4th of July!

Caden is so happy in this picture. Good family photo!

I made this skirt out of Kari's old polo shirt. Perfect for 4th of July, I thought!

We went to the Sierra Madre Parade. It was...interesting...

There was the big trucks that Kari loves.

 And some pretty interesting floats...

Gotta have the dancing, half-naked women...

People with bags on their heads...

Crazy bicycles...

and tractors. Definitely a different experience than the Kaysville Parade we are used to!

We went to a BBQ at our friend's house and got to swim in their pool! Caden enjoyed it a bit more this time :)

 These girls crack me up!

Then we were supposed to go to an awesome fair and firework show in Huntington Beach. But there was NOOO parking! So we skipped the fair part, went and had dinner somewhere else, and drove down the beach a ways and watched the fireworks from there. It was still fun!

These Pumas don't quite fit him yet, but dad wanted to try them on anyways. Again, another present from Uncle Dylan.

Off to Utah again! Having the carseat on the plane is a lifesaver!!

First stop: the hospital to visit Brooklyn! Caden loves his bald buddy.

Next: Bear Lake to visit Grandma and Grandpa Fullmer!

Bathing in the sink is so much fun...

He loved that he could make faces at himself on the phone. It made for some fun shots with Uncle Steven!

Caden thought it was so funny that he was on Uncle Dylan's back and that he couldn't see him. He loves this version of peek-a-boo.

Spending the day in the hospital. Toys = necessity...

Checking out his shoes from Grandma Wendy.

We went swimming at Angela's pool. He loves to play with his cousins!

Grandma Wendy found this awesome toy on sale. Caden loves it! It has balls and sings to him.

Brooklyn liked it, too :) It was pretty funny when Caden would turn on the music and Brooklyn and Parker would sing along with it...haha

Angela made Caden an Alphabet Book. He loves it!

Checking out the magazines one morning with Brooklyn.

Twinners!

Caden zonked out on Grandma's bed. Mmmmm...he's so sweet when he's sleeping!

And when he's awake, too, I guess ;)

But come on. Sleeping Caden is so adorable!!!

The boys were out of town on a camping trip. Looking good!!

Caden perfecting his scoot

We went swimming at Great Grandma Donna's pool.

 Loving it!

On the way to the zoo, wearing his true colors.

 Upgraded version of a stroller.

Back to Cali!

Munch's first taste of watermelon was a success. YUM!

Sitting like a big boy at church.

Snuggling with dad watching Blue's Clues.

We went to the beach with a bunch of girls from our ward. It was a beautiful day!

 Showing off his cute outfit.

Not so sure about the shoulders...

I had a banana chair from my old apartment days. Kari said if I got rid of it, I could get a new pair of Toms (my FAV shoes). I figured that was a fair trade :)

Babysitting little June bug, and she fell asleep on my shoulder! Absolutely loved this moment. Caden does not snuggle anymore! :(

 All dressed up for church.

Bachelorette Season Finale Party!! Team Jef!

Thank goodness toys have tags. He loves them...

The shot of Caden's room before we rearranged the whole house...DISASTER! It was Caden's room/guest bedroom/Kari's office/workout room. We have since moved the elliptical into our room, Kari's desk into the front room, and now there is plenty of space for Caden's stuff and the hide-a-bed. Phew! Glad we got that figured out!

Soak City! I love his arm rolls and pudgy hands...

So happy after he finally took a nap!

Kari and I went on a date while these chunk-a-munks hung out at the Beynon's.

Houston's....mmmm...

Kissing through the mesh of the pack and play. Sweet boys.

Waiting for dad outside the church.

Twinners

The only way Caden would fall asleep was for Kari to hold him. This never happens anymore! So Kari took full advantage and took a nap, too.

Looking husky in his tank top.

His first two teeth finally came in! These were my attempts at getting a photo...

 Fail...oh well. They're there! I promise!

Going for a walk :) Loving this time of year!
